Memiliki Website Pribadi Melalui Blog
A website (alternatively, Web site or web site) is a collection of Web pages, images, videos and other digital assets that is hosted on one or several Web server(s), usually accessible via the Internet, cell phone or a LAN.
Sedangkan yang dimaksud dengan Blog adalah suatu aplikasi web yang memuat secara periodik tulisan-tulisan (posting) pada sebuah webpage umum. Atau menurut penjelasan dari Wikipedia:
A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. Dari penjelasan diatas, blog umumnya menyediakan penjelasan, uraian, atau berita seperti makanan, politik, atau berita lokal; beberapa fungsi lebih seperti online diaries pribadi. Tipikal blog menggabungkan teks, gambar, dan link ke blog-blog lain, halaman-halaman web, dan media lain yang berhubungan dengan topik yang dibahas. Sehingga dikenallah berbagai macam jenis blog seperti (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting) atau sexual topics (Adult blog).
Jadi kesimpulannya lebih pas memiliki website pribadi dengan menggunakan layanan blog, apakah berupa blog dengan hosting gratis seperti Blogger, Wordpress, atau dengan hosting berbayar, atau server hosting sendiri. Karena dilihat dari sejarah, kemudahannya, dan fitur-fiturnya bisa mewakili personalisasi dari pemiliknya.
